Biopsy
A Biopsy is performed to determine if a lump in the body is cancerous or benign. This is carried out by inserting a needle into the tissue and sucking out a small specimen to be analyzed under the microscope. When the lump is small, an ultrasound maybe used to locate the lump for the biopsy. We emphasize good yield biopsy every time to minimize patient discomfort.
